Sunday Musings!

Here's our Pastor - Capt Les spending quality time with Kurtis and Kassandra prior to Sundays service

On the right is our praise team getting ready for action

Another awesome Sunday worship service this last sunday. It was a full house with rockin' music! Some of the songs that we all worshipped to were Trading My Sorrows, Blessed Be Your Name and In Christ Alone. It was very nice to have many new faces with us once again with special mention of Major Lee and Debbie Graves and family (Carrie, Logan and Shelley) in attendance.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACY!!

Today is Tracy Savages Birthday!!!
Let's all sing to her:
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday dear Tracy
Happy Birthday to You
We Love you and hope that all your wishes and dreams come true on this very special day!

Rally Day Weekend!

That time has come again!! Time to let your youth side shine! Square dancing, face painting, Bouncy Castles, Pony Rides, Dunk Tank ( which i thought you should know Captain Les volunteered himself to be DUNKED!) , Carnival Games, Popcorn/Cotton Candy Machines and on top of all that the famous BBQ cooked by our church gourmet chefs! It will be held on Sept.16 at 11:00am in the church parking lot. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!

Coming to an end.......

We have been very fortunate this year to have an amazing program being run out of our church throughout the duration of the summer. "Soul Sportz" has been an 8 week program for community or church kids ages 6-12 . We would like to say a huge thanks to the Soul Sportz helpers: Caitie McKenzie, Adam Marshall, Erin Camp, Sarah Wright and of course Laura Abday. Sports, crafts, movies and daily activities outdoors are only just a few of the many exciting events that the kids got to participate in. Unfortunately this is the last week for this program but if you wait another year, next summer it will be back up and running again!
............
Luckily beginning in September "Pioneer Club" will be running every thursday from 6:30-8:00pm for kids ages 3-13. This is a program also run out of the church and will include games, singing, crafts, Bible and much much more. For more information on Pioneer Club you can contact Jon or Tracy Savage at the church office (780)-458-1937.

Church

If you did not attend church yesterday, YOU MISSED OUT! The place was packed and Captain Les's sermon was uplifting. He spoke about Holiness and how important it is for us as a church to be holy people in everything we say and do. If you looked around the room his sermon was really hitting home! How awesome was it to see almost every seat in the sanctuary full? Maybe next sunday we will have to put out more seats!
Don't forget that church next sunday is at 11am.
Hope to see you there!

Back Up and Running

Well! The time has come when everyone is needing to return to their regular school/work routines. No more free time to relax, it is back to work! and you know what that means? The programs are going to be up and running as well! Stay tuned and I will post all the weekly events that will be happening for our youth, young adults, adults and seniors! We got it all! As well as upcoming church event dates will be posted! Just keep an eye on this site and see what things you are willing to participate and join in. Tons of fun!

Farewell........

Boy does time go by fast when you are having fun? This coming Sunday is the farewell for Tammy and Jason Sabourin and their kids Blais and Bria. They will be heading back to their home in Winterpeg... I mean Winnipeg Manifrozia... I mean Manitoba! It has been very nice having them come to St.Albert and taking over leadership of the church ministries as well as at developing close friendships. We look forward to hearing from them in the future and know that they will make amazing Salvation Army Officers as they fulfill there calling and that God will bless all their future ministries.
...........
For all those with an appetite:
There will be a potluck immediatley following the Sunday service for the Sabourins.
Those who are available to attend, we would love for you to come and fellowship as well as say a final goodbye to Jason, Tammy, Blais and Bria Sabourin.
