Mayor's Walk For Charity

June 23 we will be participating in the annual Mayor's walk. All of your sponsored funds raised by Salvation Army participants will go directly to The Salvation Army in St Albert.
Our ministry board has decided that all of the money raised from this event will go directly towards buying new chairs for the Church & Community Centre. The total project cost will be $8,000.00 + tax.
Your help towards this project will be appreciated.

Once again we will be taking part in this years parade. The festivities take place on May 26, 2007 at 9:30am.
See you there!

Cradle of Hope!

Christ rose first; then when Christ comes back, all his people will become alive again.
1 Corinthians 15:23 TLB

And, as we envision the moment, we stand in awe.
I would like to read you a passage from Max Lucado's "When Christ Comes":
We stand in awe not just because of what we see, but because of what we know. We know that we, too, will die. We know that we, too, will be buried. Our lungs, like his, will empty. Our hands, like his, will stiffen. But the rising of his body and the rolling of the stone give birth to a mighty belief: “What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us” (Rom. 6:5–9 MSG).

Special Thanks

Yesterday approx 400 people from all over the country came to celebrate the life of Christene Murdock. On behalf of the family I would like to express our deepest appreciation for all who attended and to all who assisted in the preparation of the service. Special thanks to Major Brian Venables, Karen Diaper (pianist), Megan MacAulay (soloist) who led the service, the Pall Bearers, the Caterers, Connelly-McKinley Funeral Homes and to the Rotary Club of St. Albert who went above and beyond to ensure that all things ran smoothly at the Church. Well done one and all!

Sincerely,

Capt Les & Tiffany Marshall - Church Pastors

Hockey Fans in Mourning

Once again our mighty Toronto Maple Leafs have fallen short of the playoffs again.

Then to top it all off, some fan came up with this nasty picture!

No taste - at all! Oh well there are still three Canadian teams left in the playoffs - Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa! Since there is no way that we can cheer for the Flames or the Senators, we here in St Albert say........

Go Canucks Go!!!

Up from the grave He arose!
